R. Gary Faloon, Q.C. is a member of the Law Firm of Gilbert McGloan Gillis. Gary was raised in Saint John and graduated from St. Malachy's Memorial High School. Gary attended Dalhousie University where he obtained Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law Degrees. Gary was admitted to the Bar in 1975 and began his practice of Law in Saint John. Gary was awarded the distinction of becoming a Queen's Counsel in 2000. Gary is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Saint John Law Society and the Insolvency Institute of Canada. Gary is a past president of the Saint John Law Society where he served on Council for over 20 years. He has also served and continues to serve on committees of the New Brunswick branch of the Canadian Bar Association, including Chair of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency section and a past Chair of the Continuing Education Committee. Gary has served as President of the Saint John Regional Hospital, the New Brunswick Museum, the New Brunswick Hospital Association and Saint John Center for Services to Handicapped Inc. (Key Industries). He was also President of the St. Patrick's Society, Carleton Curling Club, Loyalist Days Festival and the St. Malachy's Memorial High School Alumni Association. He has served on many boards including the Greater Saint John Community Foundation, the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, Center Care Hospital, Mindcare Inc., the Royal Kennebecasis Yacht Club and the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation. Gary was a member of the Royal Kennebecasis Yacht Club for 30 years where he was an avid racer. He skippered his sailboats in many races including the Marblehead Mass. to Halifax race, Chester Race Week, Gulf of Maine Race Week and many Saint John to Digby races. Gary is a member of the Canadian Kennel Club and in his leisure time breeds, raises and shows Champion Labrador Retrievers.
